Split a PDF into separate files.

Cut one long PDF into the pieces you need: custom ranges, one file per page, or equal chunks. Several files come back as a single zip.

How it works

  1. Add your PDF

Drop in the file you want to cut up. You’ll see every page.

  2. Choose how to split

Type ranges like 1-3, 4-6, 7- (each range becomes a file), or split every page, or every few pages.

  3. Download

One file downloads as a PDF. Several come together in a zip.

Good to know. A range ending in a dash, like 7-, runs to the last page. Want several ranges in one file instead? Use Extract pages.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The tool runs entirely in your browser using open-source libraries, so your file never leaves your device. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded and it’ll still work.

How do I open the zip?

Double-click it on Windows or Mac and the PDFs are inside. On a phone, the Files app opens zips too.

Does splitting reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied across exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and selectable.

Can I split a PDF on my phone?

Yes. It works in mobile Safari and Chrome. Very large files are slower on a phone, but they get there.
