Drop in an MP4, MOV or WebM. It opens in your browser.
Play or scrub, then set the start and end at the playhead or type the times.
The section plays through once while it’s recorded, then it’s ready to download.
Good to know. Without a server, the browser has to re-record the section as it plays, so it takes as long as the clip and the result is re-encoded rather than a perfect copy. Videos over 1920 px are scaled to 1920. Chrome, Edge and Safari save MP4; Firefox saves WebM.
Browsers can’t cut video files directly, so we play your section and record it. It’s the trade-off for never uploading your file.
Slightly, as it’s re-encoded at around 5 to 8 Mbps. That’s plenty for social media and messaging.
